Quality of results

Ensuring quality of test and calibration results

The laboratory has its own procedure for monitoring the test and calibration reliability. Activities include:
  • planning and participation in proficiency testing (PT) and / or interlaboratory comparison (ILC),
  • re-testing or calibrating of the stored patterns,
  • method of repeatability of test and calibration results (precision under repeatability conditions),
  • method of reproducibility of test and calibration results (precision under repeatability conditions,
  • carrying out control charts,
  • control of calibration results of owned patterns.
The internal control of the measurement methods with the simultaneous inspection of the equipment is carried out under conditions of repeatability inside the Laboratory.

The laboratory uses statistical techniques to develop control charts for its patterns. They allow you testing of the volatility of average indications and stretches.

For research conducted, assessment criteria are set and recorded. In case of nonconformity, preventive and / or corrective actions are taken. Their aim is to correct the problem and to prevent incorrect results from being included in the test report or calibration certificate.

Qualitative research, including participation in proficiency testing (PT) and / or interlaboratory comparison (ILC), is external and is based on annual quality plans developed by the Head of the Laboratory.

Presentation of the results

Results of tests and calibrations are presented in:
  • test reports,
  • calibration reports.
The test and calibration data presented in the above documents contain:
  • all the information required by the customer,
  • information necessary for the interpretation of test or calibration results,
  • information required by the method used,
  • information identifying subcontractors for testing and calibration and identifiers of issued certificates and reports.
Test reports or calibration certificates are issued in the form of a printed document. They comply with the requirements of PN-EN ISO / IEC 17025: 2005 and PCA requirements.

The test instructions used in the Laboratory for testing and calibration methods include detailed requirements for data records, calculations, results presentation, form templates.

Where the test reports contain the results of the tests carried out by the subcontractors, those results are identified clearly (e.g. bearing the number of the report issued by the subcontractor).

Substantial changes to the already issued test report or calibration certificate are only made in the form of a new document or data transmission containing the statement: Supplement to the test report (or calibration certificate), serial number ... These amendments comply with the requirements of PN- EN ISO / IEC 17025: 2005.

When a completely new test report or calibration certificate is prepared, it is clearly identified and contains a reference to the original document that is replaced.
